If you have a Habitat Monitor humidification system, make sure you change the wick filters every 6 months to a year. Nothing but distilled water was ever put into this:

I have one in my humidor and that one looks like he was using coffee in it! :startle: Why two wicks? Mine only uses one wick and it is open at the bottom, does that mean I'm not cool!

I'm usually able to recycle a wick by immersing it in a mild water and bleach solution, rinsing it, and letting it air out until the other wick needs replacing. I use the same solution to wash out the reservoir. if I don't do it about every five or six months, I notice a funky smell coming from the Aristocrat.

Man, that is gross. I just got an Aristocrat 48 plus last month and I replaced the filter that the previous owner had in it. I contacted Bob and ordered a 3 pack to have on standby.

Yes moki, that happens. Airborne crap and all. I mean how long did it take your roomba to look like that?? :startle:

You can get the wicks directly from Habitat Monitor.

So far mine has stayed totally clean, although I have heard stories of them gunking up even within the first few weeks.
