Since there is so much love for Ann Coulter on this board. I felt it was my duty to read up on her articles.
There was this link on her site that I am asking you to check out.

LINKY

Even if you don't like what was said, at least you can give a thumbs up for the picture. :thumbsu:

What says you military man?

Kids don't know the wars of their parents as well as their parents do. It's been that way since wars started.

There are far more important things to worry about.

C'mon, Max. I was born 15 years after that picture was taken, but I can't remember a time when I did not know that picture. To Americans, that has to be one of the top 10 images of the 20th century. Hell, they built a statue of it not 10 miles from where I am sitting.

Basic ignorance is not our friend.

Sorry . . . I am not prone to excuse that level of fundamental ignorance by so-called news reporters at one of the largest newspapers in this country. Frankly . . . I think it is sad and pathetic.

When is the appropriate or reasonable time for people to start forgetting it? At some point, it will happen, and we both know it. 50 years? 100 years? Cub reporters were born almost 50 years after that photo was staged.

I am not excusing it, I am younger than you and know the photo as well. But sooner or later we have to come to grips with the reality that things will move on, and 20 somethings have never spun a dial on a phone or gotten off the couch to change the TV channel.

It is also folly for you to compare most reporters to standards you have always set for yourself. You are only setting yourself up for disappointment.
