It scares the crap out of me. I certainly believe our health care system should be improved, but not this way.

I just had surgery. I was diagnosed on a Monday and had surgery the following Tuesday. My Canadian boss was flabbergasted at the speed of service, speculating that it would have taken 6-8 months to be scheduled for a non-emergency hernia operation.

Our billing process could use a serious overhaul. The patient should know who they owe, how much they owe, what the insurance company is going to pay, why the insurance company not going to pay something and it should be on a piece of paper in English that is easily understood so that when they finish pre-op the patient understands exactly how much they owe. I will say that it appears much improved since the last time I needed medical care.

So can anyone clearly explain how this shell game is being played? This is supposed to be on his desk Tuesday without having a reconciliation and vote by the Senate. The explanations of the side-step-backstep-dip-and-twirl that I've seen and read haven't struck me as authoritative. Has anyone read anything that competently follows this shell game?

Senate passed bill.

House passed exact same bill.

President signs.

Becomes law.

So much for the "do-nothing" congress.

Thank you, Pig. I had not heard that they return to SOP and dropped all of that razz dazzle stuff being talked about two weeks ago. Well, at least that's clean; don't like it, but it's clean.

Dear America,
When you elect a socialist, do not be surprised when you get socialism.
That is all, good night.
