Obama Report Card

How about those roads and bridges, the nations infrastructure? How many have you seen getting repaired or redone?
Do we still have troops in Iraq? Do we have less troops in Iraq and Afghanistan now than before Obama was elected? Who has seen or even heard of a plan for winning? Or completion? Or withdrawal?
Do you think our education system has improved? Or do you believe the millions and millions of dollars cut from our school systems, forcing teacher layoffs/reductions and other programs to be cut, are a sign of improvement?
Is it easier for you to name 3 campaign promises blatantly broken by Obama or to name 3 positive things accomplished by the Democratically controlled Federal Government?
Do you believe the current Administration has done more to raise the trust in our Federally elected officials or made us all more distrustful of our Federally elected officials?
Yeah, Bush sucked but Obama and his Dem controlled Administration is doing everything within it's power to move Bush out of the worst President in the history of the USA slot.

Definitely not the patient type...LOL!
As for employment, I get national newsletters in my industry daily and when the Bush meltdown hit, no jobs were posted for months. In the last 2/3 months, there over 5 new jobs posted a day. Seems seem to be loosening up in my industry at least.
I think there is a definite schedule for withdrawal from Iraq and it concludes this summer.
We don't build roads or repair them at least that much in the winter. They are building new bridges in the town I work, but I have no idea if it has anything to do with stimulus money.
I didn't realize there were any real education initiatives on the docket, but I think one school year is not a lot of time.
Is the government more or less corrupt? Who knows? It certainly doesn't seem less, that's for sure.
What I would really like to see is for this administration to back the fuck off health care and work on creating more jobs. There are a lot of things still down, like mall space, billboard rentals, trade shows, etc, but recovery doesn't happen overnight. I really don't see this administration to be the answer but 12 months is not a lot of time.
To be honest Mark, your post seems a little emotional. OK, maybe a lot emotional. I thought we were all dudes here....LOL!
I almost want to see health care pass to see if Rush makes good on his promise to leave the country. Of course, that would be a pretty expensive way to find out that he is no better than Alex Baldwin.

Actually those reporting that he would move out of the country are wrong and never even listened to the show or read the transcript. What happened is someone asked him what he would do if it passed and the US health system went down hill. Rush pays out of pocket for his healthcare and does not have a plan through any insurance company. He said if our health system declined to the point where it was not the primer system in the world he would go somewhere else for his healthcare, somewhere like Costa Rica or such.
But for today's media it is easier to make up news stories or repeat what someone else said without fact checking.

I saw the clip myself. It's not a made up story. You don't have to look far.
But, spin it any way you want, it wont change anything.

story correction link
Correction, March 10, 1:16 pm An earlier version of this story mistakenly reported that Rush Limbaugh had threatened to move to Costa Rica if Congress passed health care reform. Instead, Mr. Limbaugh said that he would travel to Costa Rica for medical care if the bill was passed while continuing to reside in this country.
Limbaugh: "If I have to get thrown into this massive government health care insurance business and end up going to the driver's license office every day when I need to go to the doctor, yeah, I'll go to Costa Rica for treatment, not move there."
State-Run Media Wrongly Reports Rush Moving if Obamacare Passes

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT</SPAN>
</SPAN></SPAN>RUSH: This is yesterday afternoon and last night, a montage of a bunch of media people, all pure propagandists. Every one of these people said what you're going to hear them say after I said specifically I was not moving, I was simply leaving the country for health care if Obamacare passes and then coming back. Not moving. I said that before all these people say this.
</SPAN>RATIGAN: Rush Limbaugh, threatening to leave our country for good.
HALL: Rush Limbaugh vowing to leave the country if Democrats manage to pass their health care reform bill.
GEIST: Rush Limbaugh. Now he's threatening to do something if the President succeeds with this health care reform. He's threatening to leave the country.
MOULITSAS: I definitely look forward to Rush Limbaugh leaving the country.
FERGUSON: Do you know that Rush Limbaugh said that if the health care bill passes, he will leave the country.
SHUSTER: Rush Limbaugh says that if health care reform passes, he will leave the country.
LENO: Radio host Rush Limbaugh says he will leave the United States if health care reform passes.
BEHAR: Rush Limbaugh has said that if health care goes through in the country, he is moving out of the country. Hey, hello, good news?
RUSH: (imitating Behar) "Hello, hello, Maude!"
That's Maude! No, that's actually Joy Behar. I heard a great line about Joy Behar. It's a joke. I couldn't repeat it on this show. I don't care how much cajoling. It's so hilarious, but I couldn't dare tell it on this show. (interruption) No, it's not coyote... No, it's none of that. It's none of that. I shouldn't have said this because there's no way... (interruption) You're not going to cajole me into telling the joke. I couldn't possibly tell the joke, could not possibly. I'll tell you in the commercial break. (laughing) Could I give you one word where you could reconstruct the joke? One key word? Let's see... Uh. Uh. "Penis." I'm sorry it's not much help. (laughing) They're trying to diagram a joke involving Joy Behar and penis. Well, it's not tough if you have a vivid imagination.

another story
Conservative talk-show host Rush Limbaugh said this week he’d go to Costa Rica for medical treatment if Congress passes proposed reforms to the US healthcare system. </SPAN>
I'm not trying to change on your opinion on him or his show, I just want you to have the facts. In the end you can believe me or not. I have no reason to lie to you on this.

I am sure that he is telling the truth that he would only leave for healthcare However I think most of us wish he would leave altogether - and take Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn, and Susan Sarandon with him.

If we are really that wound up with "facts", maybe we can start with Rush's interpretation of the Obama plan in the first place, which appears wildly inaccurate. No, I didn't listen to the whole show. I don't hate myself that much.
