I've had a few of these cigars come my way on and off over the years. Cuban Presidencia Campanas:

Offered by the office of the President to heads of states. Labeled Presidencia. It is a powerhouse of a smoke, and some of which I have had have been almost to the limit of smoke ability in strength. It is made with the finest Cuban state aged tobacco by the finest rollers, but due to its size is probably rolled at the Partagas factory

So I decided to smoke it while in Las Vegas with some questionable company. I clipped the cap, and the draw was tight. I tried smoking it, but it just wasn't happening.

So I clipped it higher up. No go. I massaged it, I rolled it, I relit it. Nope.

So I clipped it even higher up. And again. And then I said "fuck it" and disdainfully tossed it into the ashtray.

Such a letdown. So much for expensive rare cigars! Still one of my favorite bands tho.

That sucks Andrew. Reminds me of my first Cohiba. A Siglo II I cared for lovingly for three years and finally smoked on the occasion of my daughters baptism. Dowelrod. Very disappointing when that happens.

Are those Casa Mojitos in the background? Love them! If the questionable company's name ryhmes with Gordon, tell him I say hello.

Yeah those are Casa Mojitos... and Gordo was amongst the questionable company (but probably was the least questionable of the crowd ;) ).

That band is fantastic.

Sorry to hear about the cigar!

Enjoyed a couple of these over the years......have a box full of 'em somewhere, too.

Hope I don't find similar experience with ANY of them.

Next time we share Gorilla Fingers, remind me to bring you another Preidencia.

Sucks to hear, Andrew.

On another note, watched "Edge of Darkness" last night and one of the characters in the movie smoke a couple of cigars with bands that looked very much like the Presidencia.
