I've implemented a number of fixes over the past few days to address some lingering issues with the forum software upgrade and the move to the new server. I apologize for the bumpy ride, but we'll get everything smoothed out.
GarTrader.com is using the most updated version of the most modern forum software on the planet. Sometimes the bleeding edge can be a bit dicey. 
The following things have been fixed:
- The cool 3D animated smilies are back! yay!
- Calendar events no longer require moderation/approval before they are posted, so start using the Community Calendar!
- Fixed an issue with the captcha not drawing on the buy/sell/trade site, which prevented new users from registering
- I've applied the latest version of the custom theme we use, which fixed some issues with the look of the Image Gallery as well as elsewhere
- I fixed the "Latest Gallery Image" sidebar widget, so we have that back and working again
- Fixed an issue with image uploads that could cause them to fail when trying to upload images to the gallery
- Comments on pictures in user galleries no longer require the image owner to moderate them before they appear (most people couldn't figure out how to do this anyway). Owners of images can still delete comments of they like, though.
I still have a few other issues on my list of things to fix, so please let me know if you encounter any other problems.
There are always teething pains in software upgrades and server moves, unfortunately.

I upgraded the IP.Board to the latest version, as well as updating all of the ancillary modules, and applied the patches for the various custom mods we're using.
Hopefully this upgrade will fix some issues with the board; if nothing else, it is good from a security perspective. Please do let me know if you experience any problems with the forums after the upgrade.

I've applied a fix to the reputation system so that the reputation points you receive (positive or negative) are no longer anonymous.
If you click on your name in the upper-right corner of the screen, and choose My Profile you will now see who gave you the positive or negative reputation points. It only shows the 5 most recent reputation points given to you, but that should be sufficient.
Those of you who have been getting slammed with negative reputation points, if you see anyone who is dolling them out en masse, or you see negative reputation points from people who have not posted anything, please post their names in this thread.

Some people complained about the lack of contrast of the default GarTrader look. It took a bit of doing, but you now should be able to select other skins, and choose which one you prefer the look of.
To do this, scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, where you'll see a popup menu entitled GarTrader. From this menu, you can pick any one of the following skins:
- GarTrader -- The default (recommended) skin to use
- IP.Board -- The generic IP.Board skin, this provides better contrast for the text
- IP.Board Lo-Fi -- This is the skin that is used for mobile devices, with a very simple interface and no graphics

Finally, no more ugly default forum logo at the top of the screen. We have larger square format versions that could in theory be used for other purposes in the future, too. Image 1 / Image 2
