I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it
This web site is intended for adults who take responsibility for their actions, and for their words. The management believes that posters are the owners of the content that they post; that means they also bear the responsibility for any repercussions. Therefore:
Please do not demand that the admins or moderators delete or edit a post. The only time this will occur without the poster's permission is if a legal notice is served, or the content is deemed illegal or obscene.
Self-Editing of Posts
Posters may edit their content within the first 60 minutes after they have posted. After that, it is no longer able to be edited. This is to allow people to fix typos, clarify points, etc., but not allow them to revise history.
Posting of Personal Information
Board policy is that personal information may be edited out of a post by the admin/moderators if requested by the poster, or the person whose personal information has been posted.
However, bear in mind that it is not illegal to post someone's personal information unless it is used to incite harassment, violence, or other illegal activities. Therefor if the admin/moderators believe that it is in the public's interest to have said personal information posted, it may not be removed regardless of the requests.
If a post is edited, it will be clearly indicated that the post was edited, when, and by whom, and in addition, the removed personal information will be replaced with:
{Personal information deleted at poster's request}
Personal information includes, but is not limited to, someone's first and last name, address, phone number, credit card numbers, social security numbers, etc.
Sources
Posting of sources for purchasing illegal (in the USA) items such as Cuban cigars is verboten. If you post the name or a URL to a verboten source, it will be edited by the admin/moderator and replaced with:
{Source removed}
If a source is edited out of the post, it will clearly indicate that the post was edited, when, and by whom.
NSFW Images
Posting of NSFW (Not Safe For Work) images should be done only in the "NSFW Images" gallery, or in your personal gallery that is prefaced with "NSFW". You need to be a logged in member to view this gallery (guests, banned members, etc. cannot view the gallery).
This NSFW Images gallery was created not necessarily to encourage NSFW images to be uploaded, but rather as a place to put them if they are.
In addition, images deemed NSFW that are posted in forum topics/threads that are not labeled "NSFW" may be deleted.
The reason is mostly just a courtesy to people who may be browsing the forums at work or such, so they'll be able to choose what images they see or don't see.

- Posts will not be edited without the permission of the original poster by any admin or moderator
- Threads and posts will not be deleted; any "deletion" by the admin or moderators simply moves the thread to the read-only "Hall of Shame" forum
- Therefor, think before you post. Your words will be immortalized for all to see.
